How We Work

Our Installation Process

Ornamental fence panels are manufactured to standard widths. Post spacing is set to panel width. Powder-coated panels are installed after posts are set and concrete has fully cured.

1

Site Walk and Layout

Post locations set to panel width. Corner and terminal posts marked first.

2

Post Setting

Posts set in concrete, checked plumb on all axes before concrete sets.

3

Concrete Cure

We wait for full cure before hanging panels. Rushing this causes alignment problems.

4

Panel Hanging

Panels welded or bolted to posts. All connections checked for alignment and level.

5

Gates and Hardware

Gate posts set with extra concrete depth. Self-closing and self-latching hardware installed to code.

FAQ

Common Ornamental Iron Fencing Questions in Lane County

Ornamental iron and tubular steel fencing in Eugene typically runs $35 to $60 per linear foot installed. Custom designs, powder coat colors, and finials add cost. Contact Titan Fencing for a free estimate.
Traditional ornamental iron is heavy-gauge solid iron, extremely durable but more expensive. Tubular steel achieves a similar look using hollow steel tubes and is lighter and more cost-effective while still being very strong. Most residential ornamental installations today use tubular steel. Titan Fencing works with both.
Bare iron will rust without proper treatment. We apply a high-quality powder coat finish to all ornamental fencing, which forms a hard, seamless barrier against moisture. Powder-coated ornamental fence requires minimal maintenance. Touch up any chips or scratches promptly to prevent rust from spreading.
Ornamental iron and steel is popular for front yard curb appeal, pool enclosures, commercial properties, driveways, and garden borders. It provides a clear view through the fence while still defining a boundary and deterring entry.
Rinse with a garden hose annually to remove debris. Inspect for chips or scratches and touch up with a matching rust-inhibiting primer and paint to prevent corrosion. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could damage the powder coat.
Fences under 6 feet in the backyard and under 3.5 feet in the front yard generally do not require a permit. Pool enclosures and gates may have specific code requirements for self-closing and self-latching hardware. Titan Fencing installs pool fencing to current code.
